A Better Bid strongly encourages all members to inspect and gather as much information about a vehicle as possible before placing any bids. There are two main ways in which you can find out more information about the vehicle besides the listing page:

  • In-person inspections
  • Vehicle history reports

In-Person Inspections

If you're able to, you may visit the location of your vehicle for an in-person inspection. To do so, you will need your buyer number (assigned to you after you complete your registration and place a refundable security deposit). Before visiting the lot, please call the auction location and check for the best time to come in.

If you're not able to travel to inspect a vehicle, you may hire a third-party inspector. They're great for helping you make smart buying decisions.

Vehicle History Reports

It's always best to gain as much information as possible about your potential vehicle; therefore, each member may order vehicle history reports from our trusted partner EpicVIN. If you're holding the Premium Membership, you have five complimentary vehicle history reports available to you. Vehicle history reports provide you with information such as major accidents, ownership information, airbag deployment, and more. This is a great way to ensure you're making a well-informed decision and are aware of all damage to your vehicle.
