The rebuilding process is fairly straightforward: Certified mechanics repair the vehicle previously branded with a salvage title, and then the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) inspects it. If the vehicle passes inspection, the DMV deems the vehicle “Rebuilt” and issues the owner a title. You may then insure the vehicle and drive it on the road.
